Rachel Burnett is a documentary filmmaker and photographer from the San Francisco Bay Area with a Bachelor’s in Film & Media Studies from UC Santa Barbara. She is the head of Unscripted and Documentary for A Butterfly Production, an independent production company that aims to foster a collaborative and cohesive environment for creativity to flourish. Her work as a director and producer has gone on to receive multiple prestigious accolades, including UC Santa Barbara’s Corwin Award for Best Short Film, the EarthVision Environmental Short Award at the Santa Cruz Film Festival, and a nomination for Best Drama Series at the College Emmy Awards. With her deep love for the outdoors, Rachel aspires to create art that challenges the viewer’s perceptions of the natural world and inspires positive action.
